The transaction process involves many moving pieces, with sellers and buyers negotiating the terms of their deal, attorneys and accountants scrutinizing the language in the related purchase agreements, and deal finalization dependent on the accuracy and reliability of the seller’s financial records. In order to ascertain the reliability of that financial data, the due diligence process performed by qualified accountants, is an essential part of the process.
