Edward Mendlowitz

Edward Mendlowitz is a Partner with WithumSmith+Brown. He is a member of AICPA, NYSSCPA and NJSCPA. Ed has every AICPA designation - PFS, ABV, CFF, CITP, CGMA. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, and he has testified twice before the House Ways and Means Committee on tax reduction, equity and reform.

Ed is the author of 27 professional books, including the bestselling How to Review Tax Returns (www.CPATrendlines.com) and three editions of Managing Your Tax Season (AICPA) and is the author of over 1500 articles and blog posts and 300 continuing education courses and speeches. He is the winner of the Lawler Award for best article published in 2001 in Journal of Accountancy; and his article in the January 2011 Journal of Accountancy was that year's most viewed article. He is co-editor along with Sidney Kess of the CPA Journal's Financial Planning Column and has been on the Bottom Line / Personal Panel of Experts for taxes since that publication's inception over 35 years ago. His practice management techniques have been reported on in the Wall Street Journal, Journal of Accountancy, Accounting Today, CPA Journal, and many other publications. He has given over 60 presentations of tax season management programs since 1980. He was an adjunct MBA instructor for 11 years and is the author of the twice weekly blog www.partners-network.com.
