Yigal RechtmanYigal Rechtman, CPA, CFE, CITP, CISM is a Principal in Grassi & Co.’s Forensic and Litigation Practice. Yigal Rechtman is also the managing member of Rechtman CPA PLLC, a tax service accounting firm.Yigal specializes in fraud investigation and forensic accounting, information technology, data mining, computer aided auditing, statistical analysis, and internal controls. He manages engagements of forensic accounting, electronic discovery and analysis, search for assets and income sources, operational analysis, and financial audits. These engagements include fraud investigation, litigation support, evaluation of internal controls, risk analysis, computerized information systems evaluation, HIPAA compliance, SSAE 16 and SOX 404 testing. Yigal’s experience is in a wide range of industries such as healthcare, real estate, construction, professional services, not-for-profit, technology, closely held companies, ERISA plans, and education. Yigal is the author of articles* focusing on issues in information technology, fraud, accounting, attest and audit, and is an active member of the editorial board of the CPA Journal. He lectures in schools and other venues about technology assurance, forensic accounting and information systems. Yigal is also a professor at the Lubin School of Business, Pace University, New York campus where he teaches forensic accounting, auditing and accounting information systems, in both the graduate and undergraduate programs. Yigal is the past chair of the Consulting Division Oversight committee and the past chair of the Technology Assurance committee at the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and a certified member of the Association for Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE). Yigal is also a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) by the Information System Audit & Control Association.
